I completely agree - Darcy and Lizzie HAVE to be together! I have heard about consequences!!! How can they not end up together?!?! Tissues would indeed be needed! Thanks again for stopping by! The fact that you're so young (compared to me, anyway) makes it all the more remarkable. I can't say P&P is my single favourite novel (it ties with The Lord of the Rings in that respect) but is is my favourite Jane Austen, closely followed by Persuasion. Having recently discovered the world of JAFF, I've decided that Darcy and Elizabeth HAVE to have their HEA, no matter how or when they get there. Anything else is too sad. The only version I've read where that doesn't really happen is the first part of Colin Odom's Consequences. If you haven't read it yet, be prepared and have a box of tissues to hand! The second part is fine, though.Anjihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00580018261533290062noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9023782217987788364.post-54951296108165635662013-04-11T21:28:12.429+01:002013-04-11T21:28:12.429+01:00How can I see your blog? The characters are so relatable in her novels - everyone knows a Mrs Bennet or a Lydia! A novel is not satisfactory for me unless the ending is happy!
(Thanks for commenting on my post, it makes it more worth while :) )
Mrs Darcy xx :)Lizziehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18061687683030775285noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9023782217987788364.post-81358543304816663212013-03-18T01:05:25.354+00:002013-03-18T01:05:25.354+00:00Pride and Prejudice has the greatest ending of any...Pride and Prejudice has the greatest ending of any novel in my opinion (of course, it is my favorite book). You're right - some of the marriages aren't so happy, but as all I'm really thinking about at the end is one marriage, I'm afraid I don't really think about the others that much. That's what I like about Jane Austen's writing - she writes a story with characters you can relate to and be interested in. She gives them sources of conflict throughout the body of the novel and then concludes each story with a highly satisfactory ending.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
